Erin Cureton - Team Captain 2009
Team: Erin Cureton

Team Captain Erin Cureton has created the Champion Team for the past 2 years.

Beyond creating the Champion Team, Erin has "created" the unique fundraising technique of bundling.  Erin's creativity and business savvy has brought the Meadows Turkey Bowl to new heights financially along with his sincere passion of helping others in need.

Erin also hold the award of Mr. MVP 2007.  He gives it 110% not only on the field, but also in his fundraising efforts with the money he brings to benefit Saint Vincent DePaul.

Scott Furlong - Team Captain 2009
Team: Scott Furlong

Entering his Junior year in the Meadows Turkey Bowl, Scott Furlong, Captain 2009, has brought many new aspects to the game of football and fundraising.

With Scott's vast travels all over the world, he has brought money from across the continent.  He wins the award of having money come the farthest.

Other awards that Scott brings to the Meadows Turkey bowl is the "Biggest Calf" award.  Scott's calves are the largest in the history of the Meadows Turkey Bowl.  With that, get out of his way because you are more than likely to be trampled by him on game day.

Not only winning several awards himself, Scott's family takes home a couple more.  Scott's son, Alex, took home the Championship Trophy his first year of play.  Alex was awarded the prestigious award of Mr. MVP 2008.  This was a big award to win for Alex seeing that he is one of the youngest players.  Way to go Alex !

Blascak Brothers - Team Captain 2009
T&T Mortgage
Tim & Terry Blascak, T&T Mortgage
Team: Blascak Brothers
Tim and Terry have become legends in their brief time with the Meadows Turkey Bowl … They have master-minded three championships in three years and have revolutionized how players raise money.

They have become one of the largest contributors of this event …Their competitiveness is only matched by their generosity.  They have been known to bring an open checkbook to contribute whatever is necessary for their team.

They have personally allocated radio commercial time they have paid for on WKNR for the Turkey Bowl.  Many feel they will break a Turkey Bowl record this year and win a fourth Turkey Bowl.

More importantly, the Blascaks have made the Meadows Turkey Bowl a "family" event.  Their parents can be found at all the events.  Grandpa & Grandma come and cheer them on at every Turkey Bowl, along with their spouses.  Tim's son is just as competitive on the field in the Kid's Turkey Bowl bringing home awards for himself just like his dad!

Jason Nemeth - Team Captain 2009
Team: Jason Nemeth

As one of the original players, Jason “Hitman” Nemeth is honored to be a 2009 Team Captain.  He was inducted into the Meadows Turkey Bowl Hall of Fame in 2006 and a winner of Mr. Hustle in 2004.

Hitman has a track record of commitment to the turkey bowl, driving in from Cincinnati each year just in time for happy hour.   In 2003, he left Cincinnati at 4 AM was on the field for kickoff and back in Cinci in time for a 3pm turkey dinner.   In addition to his dedication, he brings a laundry list of medical diagnoses to the
table.   In 1999, he was carted off the field with a separated shoulder.   In 2003, he was sidelined with a severe ankle sprain while training for the turkey bowl.  In 2008, the medical staff added high cholesterol and sleep apnea to his diagnoses.

He claims
to be in the best shape of his life and is on a strict diet of oatmeal cream pies and red meat.   However after a recent physical, the Meadows Team Doctor stated “there is no medical evidence of oatmeal cream pies and red meat being of nutritional value.   In addition, any reports of this player being in shape are grossly exaggerated”.

The Hitman looks forward to assembling a championship team and bringing the cup home to the founding fathers.
